Yopparai is the perfect name for our place where Japanese comfort food, sake pairings and a warm, cozy ambience inspire night-long conversations that turn to laughter, friendships and dreams.

Good food is a must here. Whether we find our ingredients from a local farmer’s market or shipped direct from Japan, we relish the authenticity of each dish and design our menu with our guests in mind.

Chef 

Junya Miura

Chef Junya Miura has spent much of his working life behind kitchen counters. Son of Chef/Owner Osamu Miura of Aburaya in Tokyo’s bustling Roppongi district, Chef Junya began working under his father as a teenager and attended a culinary high school where he honed his skills in Japanese cuisine. The acquaintance with Gaku during his training days at Aburaya led to a life-changing decision to help open Yopparai together in 2012.

Chef Junya enjoys fishing, admiring vintage Japanese cars, and spending time with his family.
